The Trial of Aether is the signature dungeon-puzzle layer in Alabaster Dawn. Each room asks you to route Aether through panels, block chains and pressure plates while combat enemies patrol the grid.

Core puzzle rules

  • Every Aether panel fires in the direction it is pointing on activation.
  • Block chains propagate one tile per beat — plan the route before you drop the first block.
  • Enemies reset the chain if they touch a lit panel. Clear hostiles first on harder rooms.
  • Dirty Quill rooms hide a key under a false Aether tile — reveal with a heavy attack.

Can I skip the Trial of Aether?
Most Trial rooms gate progression — you need to clear them to advance the story. A few optional rooms can be skipped and returned to later.
